Jim Voeller is an attorney licensed by the Supreme Court of Texas. He began his career as a member of the staff of the Minneapolis office of Ernst & Whinney. From there, Mr. Voeller worked as an associate with the law firm of Wiese & Cox of Minneapolis before establishing The Voeller Law Firm in 1983. Throughout his career, Jim has helped families structure their affairs in order to eliminate the threat of government intervention into their private lives and protect their assets from lawsuits. In the process, he has helped families save millions of dollars in estate taxes and probate costs.
Jim primarily represents individuals and business owners in both business and estate planning matters. According to Voeller:
Individuals spend their lives raising families and accumulating assets to support themselves during retirement. My goal is to help my clients implement a plan whereby they retain control of their assets, maintain their privacy, and ultimately pass their inheritance to their heirs at the least administrative and tax cost. I prefer to work with people who recognize that their most valuable asset is their family. Each plan is tailored to the specific needs of the client and the circumstances they face.
Jim earned his juris doctor degree from the University of Minnesota Law School, where he graduated with honors in 1980. Jim received his undergraduate degree from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minnesota, where he graduated magna cum laude.
